I was hired by Catch Adventures to shoot high concept photos for their latest signed artist, singer/songwriter Toestah. My original concept was to have him in the center of a three-ring hip-hop circus, but that concept fell through and I had to design a new concept from my hotel room in LA. I was inspired by the city of LA and Toestah's music and designed a 1940's Mobster themed shoot. I stopped at some thrift stores and costume shops on Magnolia Blvd. and styled a zoot suit for him to wear. Catch Adventures got me a sweet rooftop location with an amazing view of the Los Angeles skyline.
Amazing view + sunset lighting + kickass wardrobe = EPIC.
It was an awesome shoot and I'm so thrilled at the way it turned out. Big thanks to Catch Adventures, Toestah for rocking the look, Dan for helping out with lighting and Kevyn Fong for being Kevyn Fong. Be sure to check out Toestah's music on his YouTube channel. Tell 'em I sent ya ;)
